    Ecobank Burundi is regulated by the central bank of Burundi. Since the inception of the affiliate till December 2012, EBI has managed to penetrate the Burundian market by opening thriteen access point(11 branches and 2 cash points) wich enabled the affiliate to be a bank of proximity as well as deliver good services to its customers. EBI has grown its total assets by 272% (December 2012) since the begining of its activities in the country. It has also grown its deposits by 250% which shows that the customers kept on increasing faith on the affiliate due to the delivery of good services. EBI is focusing on attracting more customers by establishing value chain strategy, attract customers in the agricultural business as well as the introduction of new products such as Visa cards ,BANK COLLECT,INTERNET BANKING,RAPID TRANSFER? ECOBANK ADVANCE ACCOUNT etc. EBI counts the biggest share of ATMs in the Burundian Banking industry.
