To use the card abroad on a cedi or forex account kindly inform Ecobank to enable the bank activate your card for usage, Foreign account holders are not required to notify the Bank. The card will be issued upon the submission of a completed application form. Cards and Personal Identification Number (PIN) are collected at your Ecobank branch subject to identification and signature.
To use his/her card to pay for goods and services, the cardholder is required to present the card to the sales attendant who then swipes the card through the point of sales terminal (POS).
The cardholder is required to check that value on the sales receipt is correct and must then sign and retain a copy of the receipt.
Cardholders can also withdraw money at ATM (automated teller machines) that carry Visa accepted brand.
To withdraw money from an ATM, the cardholder will need to input his/her PIN (personal identification number) before the transaction can be processed.
