Ecobank Transnational lncorporated's Acquisition of Oceanic Bank International Plc

Following the completion of the acquisition of Oceanic Bank by Ecobank, we are pleased to inform you that Oceanic Bank and all of its subsidiaries are now part of the Ecobank Group, the leading Pan-African banking group.

We would like to assure you that we are taking every step to make your banking more convenient, and ensure you continue to enjoy superior levels of customer service. By the first quarter of 2012, you will be able to:
  • 1. Do your teller transactions at over 370 locations of Oceanic bank in Nigeria. This is in addition to over 230 Ecobank locations.
  • 2. Use your ATM card at over 680 Oceanic Bank ATMs in Nigeria at no extra transaction charge (i.e. without the N 100 charge per transaction). This is in addition to about 200 ATMs of Ecobank in Nigeria.
Furthermore, your existing banking relationships with us including your credit facility (where applicable), standing orders, collection arrangements, international trade etc, will continue to be maintained subject to the usual terms and conditions. While we seek to improve the management of your accounts, we will take care to minimize disruptions to your existing relationship with us.

With an expanded branch network of over 600 branches and over 880 ATMs in Nigeria. you will benefit from a wider range of banking products and services, as well as access to cross-border transactions across Ecobank's network of 32 African countries.
